Todays article features the work of Nicky Billington

The Fabric of Life.

This body of work is a response to The Fabric of Life, a concept that speaks to the interconnectedness of all living things.

My practice is rooted in the use of natural materials

woven forms, silk thread, ceramics, and paper thread each chosen for its organic origin.

The pieces I have created are formed from elements either dug from the earth or gathered from natural sources.

The landscape is both my inspiration and my subject.

Each piece is a meditation on place-a response to the textures, tones, and rhythms of the natural world, and an attempt to articulate the quiet, enduring fabric that connects life in all its forms.
