As we turn our attention towards our upcoming exhibition in the Macclesfield Silk Museum, we thought it would be interesting to share some thoughts regarding the creative process involved in the Art that will be on show. Today we present:
"Living Carelessly" by Kate McKennan
I was inspired to produce this piece by the name of the exhibition- “The Fabric of Life”
I divided up two pieces of paper and wove them together like cloth.
To straighten the edges, I added extra different paper and used paper clips to hold the whole piece together.
Life can be like that, ragged in places and flimsy at times and yet amazingly durable.
My piece is called “Living Carelessly” and contains images from all sorts of mundane experiences that I have had, but also the wonderful experiences of seeing many famous paintings by excellent artists.
