Design

When visiting the Silk Museum, I was intrigued by the jacquard pattern cards which held the secrets of the designs of the fabrics. "Design" captures the digital code which is fed into the looms together with the threads.

Industry

"Industry" follows on from "Design" with the looms, pattern cards and threads coming together and also conveys the volume of sound produced in the creation of the fabrics.

To me, design and industry are part of the fabric of modern life.
